Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities

The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) offers cutting-edge, experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management offered to post-9/11 veterans with disabilities resulting from their service to our country, at no cost.  The EBV – Cornell Bootcamp will focus on helping veteran entrepreneurs who would like to open businesses in the food and beverage industries. We are looking for students who might be interested in taking on leadership roles as part of our marketing campaign.

The Hospitality Business Plan Competition provides an experiential learning opportunity to rising entrepreneurs looking to make their mark on the hospitality industry. The competition kicks off at the start of the academic year and culminates in early spring with the submission of final business plans and group presentations. The winners are announced during Hotel Ezra Cornell. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three teams – $15,000 to the winning team!

Cornell Coding Boot Camp

Cornell is hosting its first ever Coding Boot camp in Sage Hall on September 26, 2015. Especially targeted to females, the boot camp will provide participants with a solid foundation in coding concepts and principles to educate and inspire them. With the skills we teach as a launching pad, it is our hope more females will consider pursuing further education STEM.  We will cover the essentials of html, CSS, and some javascript so that everyone can build their own website.

Cornell is hosting its first ever Coding Boot camp in Sage Hall on September 26, 2015. Especially targeted to females, the boot camp will provide participants with a solid foundation in coding concepts and principles to educate and inspire them. With the skills we teach as a launching pad, it is our hope more females will consider pursuing further education STEM.  We will cover the essentials of html, CSS, and some javascript so that everyone can build their own website.

The inaugural Families in Business across Cornell Day will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015. This full day celebration on the Cornell campus will showcase the range and impact of family enterprise, from entrepreneurs to global enterprises and legacy families. Alumni, business owners and students are all invited to take part in this day-long series of keynotes, networking and workshops.

Hospitality Business Plan Competition Pizza Social

Location: 289 Statler Hall, 130 Statler Drive

Time: Wednesday, October 14th 2015, 4:30pm – 6:00pm

The Hospitality Business Plan Competition provides an experiential learning opportunity to rising entrepreneurs looking to make their mark on the hospitality industry. The competition kicks off at the start of the academic year and culminates in early spring with the submission of final business plans and group presentations. The winners are announced during Hotel Ezra Cornell. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three teams – $15,000 to the winning team!

Meet & Repeat: A Pillsbury Institute Speed Networking Event

Location: 289 Statler Hall, 130 Statler Drive

Time: Monday, October 19th 2015, 4:30pm – 6:30pm

Come to the Meet & Repeat at The Pillsbury Institute! At Meet & Repeat, you can meet up to 15 industry leaders in addition to other peers, students, and faculty during structured four-minute

rotations. It is set up for entrepreneurs to practice their pitching skills while building and expanding their networks.

Participate in a national TV market viability test, which includes a 120-second     infomercial for the winning product – a $50,000 value!! If the market test is successful, Will It Launch will cover 100% of the expenses of manufacturing, marketing, and distribution to major retailers, and the winner will receive a royalty on sales under a license agreement.
