The deadline to RSVP for the UNY I-Corps September Short Course at Cornell (taking place September 15th – 29th) is coming up. NSF I-Corps Short Courses are for university researchers interested in exploring the market potential of their work and learning entrepreneurial skills. While exploring your current project, you’ll learn to apply the same process to other technologies The Short Course features lecture and group breakout work in person, followed by two weeks of remote sessions. Hilton’s first ever hackathon and it’s happening at Cornell! EVERY STUDENT is invited and encouraged to sign up for this event, coding is not a prerequisite. Designers, business students, hotelies, engineers and more learn how tech has changed the hospitality industry with our mini conference (2-5pm) and then work with data, hardware, &  IoT from our mentors and partnering organizations to conceptualize and develop your idea. Partnering Organizations & sponsors include: Hilton, Microsoft, Amazon, LG, Entrepreneurship at Cornell, Engineering, CiS   The prizes are pretty incredible as well.

Rev: Ithaca Startup Works presents the third annual Rev Hardware Accelerator Demo Day – a free event for the entire community. Rev Hardware Accelerator teams have spent 11 weeks working to move their product ideas from concept to prototype. Each team received support from Rev mentors and technical instructors throughout the summer, and they’ve refined their concepts while also validating their business ideas with potential customers. From small-scale indoor gardening to pet care, from honeybee health to monitoring protected lands, the teams have crafted an impressive array of product ideas and business models.
