Pillsbury Institute’s Entrepreneurs in Residence

The Pillsbury Institute’s Entrepreneur in Residence (EinR) program will be hosting 20 entrepreneursand innovators in the hospitality industry this academic year. Entrepreneurs will be available in the Pillsbury Institute to talk with students one-on-one about business ideas and plans, career experience and guidance, and more. If you are interested in setting up a time to meet with an entrepreneur, please visit the sign-up page. In addition to office hours, EinRs are also available to speak in classes. Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans
Location: Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration
Time: October 01, 2016 – October 09, 2016 All day
The annual Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities is quickly approaching! Veterans will be arriving next Friday and Saturday and will be welcomed to campus Saturday evening at the opening ceremony in Park Atrium. This year marks the fifth edition of the program with veterans from all across the globe and from all branches of the military. They will be on campus for the week to learn how to start a business in the food and beverage industry. The bootcamp will conclude with a graduation ceremony and dinner at Schoellkopf Memorial Hall on Saturday, October 1st. What Makes a Great Business – Oxford IC2 Workshop

Kessler Fellows Symposium

End Human Trafficking
Location: New York City at Cornell Tech
Time: October 07, 08 and 09
This hackathon is focused on Sex and Labor trafficking in New York City. Problem statements, requirements, and more will be provided to students participating in the event. They will be available in advance and sent directly to participants, they will not be made public on the event website. Healthy meals are provided Friday lunch & dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch, & dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch. Snacks and unlimited beverages are available throughout the weekend. Mentors are present throughout the weekend representing: industry, corporate, government, & nonprofits, from a variety of backgrounds including data science, law, business, tech, advocacy, and more. Transportation and housing are the responsibility of participants, stipends are not available. Roundtrip bus transportation to/from Ithaca/NYC is available for $50 via the event site.
